Ethiopian coffees are among the world’s most unusual. Thought by most to be the mother of all coffees, Ethiopia offers a wonderful range of flavor from winey to earthy to fruity. Our Ethiopian Yirgacheffe is soft and fruity in the cup and is one of the best choices for iced coffee. We brew 4 to 5 containers of Ethiopian each day using the Toddy Cold Brew System. This is the best way we’ve found to brew iced coffee, just add milk and voilá!

I’d never tried Ethiopian Yirgacheffe before. Whenever I want to treat myself I usually go to a Kona. Started using a pour over method for my daily at-the-office coffee and decided to branch out. I can’t describe this except to say the description above is accurate. At first whiff I got a floral note–it almost put me off. Not sure why but I expected more acidity. I was very pleasantly surprised because the acidity is quite low. The first 2 sips I was undecided because it is definitely different. By the end of the cup I was in love. I’m a new fan!

One of my favorites. Earthy and fruity with low acidity. Full city is about as dark as I would care for this bean. Might be nice to have an option for light to medium roast. In either case, this is an exceptional coffee for the price. I would put it up against Kona any day for taste/value.
