The Ugandan term Owemba is used to describe something truly outstanding. In this case we’re speaking of a superb washed Arabica coffee from an African micro-farm. Watered by glacial streams, this coffee thrives on the rugged slopes of the snow-capped “Mountains of the Moon” in Western Uganda. The perfect growing conditions there produce a fabulous cup that is rich with a molasses sweetness and wonderful body, with clove spices, some grapefruit-like acidity, and a balanced, complex cup.
